The months of the Talasian calendar are named after the High King Orius Talas and the Twelve original members of the Knights of the Ring. A Talasian month is 28 days long.

The Talasian year is marked as beginning on the day that High King Orius Talas was born. A Talasian year is 13 months or 364 days long.

The Talasian's mark the years of the calendar with A.C. (after crowning) from the year that Julian Talas was crowned Julian I Emperor of Talas. Years before the crowning of Julian I are marked P.C. (pre crowning).

The Talasian's use a combination lunar calendar to mark the passing of months and seasons Ord has five moons Ryth, Vesi, Ar, Ild, and Jord. Lycanthropes are only affected by the moon light and cycles of the moon Ryth.

Ryth's lunar cycle is exactly twenty eight days in length so that the full moon falls on the same days every month ( Full moon 28th, Waning moon 7th, New moon 14th, and Waxing 21st

The outer moons Vesi, Ar, Ild, and Jord become brighter when they are said to be ascendant, this is how the Talasian's mark the passing of seasons.
