Lord of the Rings Online: A guide to instance locations and acronyms with locations. Updated for Rise of Isengard.

So your new to Lotro (Lord of the Rings Online) and you see people in the LFF channel saying things like 5/6 LF1M GB and you scratch your head. Well worry no longer because we have put together this small guide for you. In this guide we will help to break down some of the code words that player's use in chat and help you find both the acronyms and locations of most of the instances in Lotro.

The instances in Lotro have a maximum number of people who can enter as a fellowship/group usually the maximum is six but it can vary. This is why you see people typing out things like 1/6, 2/6, ect. LF means looking for, this is normally followed by abbreviations or nick names for the different classes in the game (See bottom of this guide for class nick names/ abbreviations).

The last part of the message is usually the acronym or nickname for the instance that they are trying to gather a fellowship or group for.

Even veterans of other MMO's might get confused by the variations that Lotro players use versus what they are used to seeing. Some examples. Fellowship instead of Group or Party (LFF instead of LFG, LFP). Kinship or Kin instead of Guild).

Here is a list of most of the major instances in Lotro, listed with acronyms/nicknames and the co ordinance you will find them at.
